Ancient Kingdoms changes
A new update has arrived with new features, balance improvements, bug fixes, and major performance optimizations.
✨ New Features
Implemented Equipment Templates.
Added Unique backpacks (only one can be equipped) and non-Unique backpacks (multiple can be equipped).
Added the new chat command /follow to automatically follow your current player target.
Development of the new Old Valorath dungeon is underway *(currently ~20% complete)*.
⚖️ Balance & Progression
Reduced the experience required from levels 40–50 by approximately 32%.
The 4th mercenary now unlocks at level 40 instead of level 50.
Reduced the cost of unlocking bank tabs.
Improved Cleric mercenary mana management.
Adventurer task givers now only offer quests appropriate for your level.
Extended Target now displays aggro information.
Increased drop rates from 5% → 10% for:
Great Emberheart Ruby
Great Emerald of Purity
Great Sapphire of Winter
Great Titanite Shard
Great Stone of Clarity
Great Stone of Fortitude
Great Shard of Precision
Increased the drop rate of Ancient Lumber from 5% → 10%.
Adjusted the stats of the Cobalt Chestplate.
Slightly increased the respawn chance of the Orc Messenger.
🐞 Bug Fixes
Fixed an issue where the Cleric mercenary could ignore AoE escape mechanics.
Fixed the Extended Target window position not being saved.
Fixed the party panel position resetting in multiplayer.
Fixed an issue where some bosses could spawn more enemies than intended.
Fixed issues related to key rebinding.
Fixed the Great Mana Shard tooltip.
Fixed a typo in the "What's Worse Than One Corrupted" quest.
🚀 Performance Improvements
Reduced major lag spikes during the Avatar of Air and Temple of Valaark boss encounters.
Optimized boss combat music synchronization to reduce network traffic.
Optimized monster cast bars to avoid rebuilding TextMeshPro geometry every frame.
Reworked AoE warning circles to reuse a shared texture instead of generating multiple textures for each cast.
Fixed a memory leak caused by temporary AoE skill handlers remaining in the scene.
Prevented duplicate visibility and NavMesh checks for entities with multiple colliders.
Improved overall performance and stability during large boss encounters.
