How We Made Quackette

When we first started designing the casino games in Always Bet on Quack, we knew we wanted to include a version of roulette.

When we first started designing the casino games in Always Bet on Quack, we knew we wanted to include a version of roulette. It’s one of the most recognizable casino games in the world, the spinning wheel, the bouncing ball, and that moment of suspense while everyone waits to see where it lands.

But we also knew we didn’t want to simply recreate roulette exactly as it exists in real life.

At first glance, Quackette looks familiar. Players place their bets, the wheel spins, and the ball begins to bounce around the rim just like it would in a traditional roulette game. But once the round starts, things quickly become a lot less predictable.

Players can quack during the spin, sending bursts of chaotic energy toward the wheel. A well timed quack might nudge the ball just enough to change its path or it might send it flying somewhere completely unexpected.

Suddenly, the quiet tension of roulette turns into a noisy, competitive scramble where everyone is trying to influence the outcome at the same time.

During testing, the results were exactly what we hoped for. Players started yelling at each other, timing their quacks to sabotage friends, and celebrating when a last-second nudge sent the ball into a winning slot.

We were so happy it became exactly the kind of loud, ridiculous casino moment that The Monte Quacko was built for.
