Alquiem changes
After 4 months of work, update 2.0 is now available!
It introduces the new Season 3 and its Crusade, the new Atlantean Centurio class, as well as a massive visual overhaul of the game, along with new music, systems, fixes, balancing, QoL, and optimizations.
The gameplay experience is completely transformed—I truly hope you like it!

New Features
ːACODC_Helmetː New Class: The Atlantean Centurio
Their new resource, Courage, increases your defense and attack infinitely as you attack opponents, but healing resets your courage to 0. You will have to survive by playing aggressively, or on the contrary, with an iron-clad defense!
16 new passives to hybridize with all other available classes—the possibilities are endless
Two specializations: General and Aquamancer

A Challenge system at the start of the game to spice up the difficulty.

No more digging through game folders; I rebuilt the entire native RPG Maker save system from scratch. This also allows better control and smoother transitions between scenes, featuring loading bars and reduced loading times.

An old-school 3D art style enhanced through a vast visual overhaul
All menu backgrounds have been updated, as well as class selection screens, quest images, urban project images...
But also everything related to combat: All combat backgrounds + All enemy sprites in the game have been remade from scratch!
From-scratch overhaul of the engine's 2D sprite generation, with the creation of a custom animation rendering system. This allows, for example, the creation of flying enemies like bats with multiple frames, or levitating ones like demons during their incantations.Added 2 extra sprites per enemy for attack and incantation animations. That makes a total of 54 new sprites added to the game, replacing the old ones.Steam post image

📊 Balancing
General attack curves for monsters have been reduced
Agility curves slightly reduced for the swiftest ones (tiger man/pirate/bat)
Monster health bonus in Pandemonium reduced by 10%
Player's natural health curve slightly increased
Pandemonium difficulty 5 is the ultimate way to put your builds and talents to the test; it's only normal that it's a challenge requiring proper preparation (potions, perfecting gear, etc.).
However, it shouldn't completely exclude less powerful builds. That's why I've slightly lowered the damage of monsters that hit way too hard at level 40. Note that certain elite monsters remain unchanged and are still major threats. I also reduced the monster health bonus based on the Pandemonium difficulty tier, which will make runs faster as well.
ːzeroː Complete overhaul of the random monster generation system. Rules now apply to prevent frustration:
No same monster twice in a row
Incremental elite spawn rate | wave 1 = 0% | w2 = 15% | wx+ = +5% | final wave = 100% if no elite was encountered in previous waves | when an elite spawns, the rate drops back to 0%
Max healing potions 3 → 4
Thorn Ring now reflects 1+20% armor to the attacker and grants +1 armor
Deep Fang +2 agility
Serpent Ring +2 agility
Shadow Garb +1 agility
Removed poison immunity from Spider and Gorgon. There were too many poison-immune monsters, making poison builds way too RNG-dependent compared to bleed builds.
- Necromancer's Revenant Overhaulːwcbskullː Your minion now attacks monsters alongside you (+1 attack) and absorbs a portion of damage taken (+5 armor). It naturally decays in 7 turns + new summoning animation
Occult Ritual now has a 45% chance (+ your luck stat) to re-summon your revenant
Lunar Wand now generates 1 frost enchantment
Blood Medallion removes an extra 10 health
Nerfed the Army of the Dead affix and sped up its animation
Forge Hammer now has a 50% chance to stun (previously 25%)
I changed the artifact slightly. In the end, the number of generated souls amounts to the same (it's even more profitable) because I didn't find it logical to loot large souls from normal monsters, like a bat. Now, large souls are reserved for Elites (this was already somewhat the case with the +25%, but there was still a small 3% chance to drop them on normal mobs). Their drop rate goes from 3% to 65%, and rank 3 of the artifact increases bonus chances even more in Pandemonium (up to +25% at T5, so a 90% chance for large souls on elite monsters). You might think, "He's crazy, that's way too profitable." Yes, but first of all, they no longer drop on all monsters, so that makes a big difference, and thanks to the new monster generation system, you encounter fewer elites in dungeons.
Quality of Life and Miscellaneous Improvements

The Necromancer's Stalker Spirits no longer proc if the target is already dead
Added Mimics profile to the bestiary
Upgraded legendary weapon icons (Jotunheim, Calamity, Scarlet Sun, Lightbringer)
New prestige menu tab (replaces the old shield on the right side of the screen)
New button for the options menu
Hovering over the game logo reveals a link to the Regalia Project Discord server, gathering all my game projects in one place
Repositioned tool tabs in Character menu and the legacy tutorial button
In-combat indicator for monster casting chances instead of their luck stat, which wasn't being used
Stat tooltips in combat when hovering over them
