v5.13: The Local Governance Update
All Quiet Roads v5.13 introduces the Local Governance update, transitioning city management from a global modal directly to intuitive, pinned neighborhood panels. This release also delivers significant GPU performance optimizations and give more visual polish for all vehicles and neighborhoods. Finally, it makes a few changes to the tutorial.
Neighborhood Panel Overhaul
- Governance Button RemovedThe global Governance button has been removed, as neighborhood rules are now managed directly through individual hover panels.
- Interactive Pinned PanelsClicking the new orange pin locks a neighborhood's panel in place, activating buttons for localized control.
Streamlined Settings: Players can now toggle "No Thru Traffic" or "Barricade" settings directly from the pinned panel.
- Integrated DemolitionNon-unique neighborhoods can be demolish ed via the pinned panel, featuring a new safety-check to prevent accidental bulldozer use.
Visual & Performance Polish
- Crisp OutlinesNeighborhoods and vehicles now feature smooth, high-fidelity outlines, including corrected geometry for circular neighborhoods and the stadium vehicle.
GPU Optimization: Enhanced GPU utilization provides significant performance increases, especially in high-traffic scenarios.
Clearer Indicators: Barricade icons now use AQR Orange to distinguish them from red traffic alerts.
Bug Fixes & Tutorial Tuning
- Ghost Neighborhood FixResolved a critical issue in Paris, Rio de Janeiro, and Toronto where failed neighborhood spawns caused severe performance degradation.
Focused Tutorial: The tutorial now ignores advanced settings (Barricades, No Thru Traffic) and also ignores the Coffee Break mechanic to keep the learning curve focused on core fundamentals.
