All Quiet Roads changes
Welcome to Toronto! (v5.00)
You’ve been asking for a new city, and today I am thrilled to welcome you to Toronto!
Whether you have been playing All Quiet Roads for years or are jumping in for the very first time, this is the perfect moment to play. With this update, the game now features nine distinct cities, stretching alphabetically from London all the way to Toronto.
Every city in AQR requires a slightly different strategic approach, and Toronto is no exception. Here is what you can expect from the new map:
Urban Sprawl: Buildings in Toronto are much more likely to spread out across the map before they eventually start stacking up in close proximity.
Abundant Early Infrastructure: Because of the wide sprawl, you will have a lot of road tiles to play with in the early game to keep things connected.
Favorable Conversions: The exchange rate in Toronto is incredibly fair. If you find yourself with a surplus of early roads, converting them into other necessary inventory is highly viable.
I truly appreciate the players who have stuck around waiting for another update. I am incredibly passionate about AQR, and bringing this city to life has been a lot of fun.
Jump in, build some routes, and let me know your feedback in the discussions!
Minor Technical Changes in v5.00:
- LeaderboardsI've overhauled the backend leaderboard system to accommodate the new engine and scoring. For a detailed breakdown of how old vs. new leaderboards are being handled, check out this discussion thread .
