Hello Officers!
In our last devlog, we briefly talked about cargo at our airport — boxes, crates, mysterious shipments…
Today, we want to zoom out a bit and focus on two equally important parts of the operation: the aircraft themselves and the people flying them — the pilots.
Every vehicle transporting goods and people has its own identity. Airplanes are no exception. Each aircraft arriving at our hub carries a unique identification number, and if you’re planning to keep Caldora Island safe, you’ll need to keep a close eye on it. Not every plane is what it seems.
Planes in Airport Contraband operate under different transport companies, each with its own logos, markings, and paperwork. This is where your legendary inspector instincts come into play. Every pilot arriving at your airport must carry proper documentation — and those documents must match the aircraft’s markings and registration numbers.

Sounds simple? Oh, if only.
If something feels off, you’ll have tools at your disposal. One of them is the trusty fax machine (yes, the pinnacle of airport technology). You’ll be able to send documents to headquarters for verification whenever you need a second opinion — or when your gut tells you something is definitely wrong.

And remember: the devil is in the details. Company logos and airline names must appear exactly where the documents say they should. If a logo is missing, misplaced, or suspiciously crooked… well, that’s your cue to start asking questions.

Meanwhile, time won’t stop ticking. Your shift isn’t infinite, and you’ll need to balance careful inspections with the pressure of keeping the airport running smoothly.
