AiDroneSim : 800$ 2022 Contest

Welcome to the 2022 AiDroneSim contest ! For this edition, we have 3 categories : Video freestyle, Racing and Map Creator.

Prize Pool

Freestyle

• How To Participate

  • Record a video flying on AiDroneSim.

  • Post it publicly on youtube, with Description as follow :

  • Send an email to contact@aidronesim.com with :

    • Pilot Name

    • Youtube link

    • paypal associated email.

  • Deadline : 10th November 2022, 00AM UTC.

• Rules

  • Edits and music are ok, but pick a music with a sharable copyright. (no ads on Youtube ). There are great resources like : https://ncs.io/

  • Choose any map & any scenery you want.

  • No overlay on the video, except for the pilot name or AiDroneSim logo. Short intros are ok.

  • You are free to choose your tools. Recommended for 1st timers : OBS Studio and DaVinci Resolve.

  • Maximum 2 minutes.

  • Minimum HD definition. (1920x1080)

  • We value pilot skills and video skills.

  • A Jury will vote to rank the videos.

  • Maximum one entry per pilot. You can do a new video, upload it, and send a new mail, but this will discard the older video from the contest.

  • See last years results to get an idea

  • Any participant agree that the produced video may be used for promotional content or other use by the AiDroneSim team.

Racing

• Accumulate points by doing good times on selected tracks:

• 10 Tracks

• For each track, at the end of the contest period, points are distributed as follow :

  • 1st Place : 10 pts

  • 2nd Place : 8 Pts

  • 3rd Place : 6 Pts

  • 4th Place : 4 Pts

  • 5th Place : 3 Pts

  • 6th Place : 2 Pts

  • 7th Place : 1 pts

• For each pilot, his total score is the sum of his score on each track in the contest.

• Race while logged on the Steam client, so the result is uploaded to the leaderboard with the corresponding ghosts. Only valid leaderboard entries will count.

• Modalities

  • The selected Tracks will be determined according to popular vote.

  • Same thing for the quadcopter models to use.

  • Once the vote is done, the Tracks & Quads will be announced on October 8, by a post on steam.

  • Try your best on each track until the deadline !

  • Deadline : 10th November 2022, 00AM UTC.

• Misc

  • Leaderboards for concerned tracks will be captured at the deadline data.

  • Only valid entries, with the selected quadcopters, will count. For information, all the data about the game pilot's quadcopter are present in leaderboard ghosts data.

  • If you are near the top of the ranks, please contact us at contact@aidronesim.com with :

    • Your steam pilot name

    • Your Paypal associated email. Please also send a friend request on steam to diophante.studio (friend code : 1196933938) so we can be sure it's the same person on email and steam.

Map Creator

• Create a scenery in the map editor of the sim, and share it via Steam.

• Either let it as a scenery, or create a track on it.

• A Jury will vote to rank the creations.

• Up to 3 entries per pilot.

• Criteria : aesthetics, fun to fly, originality.

• Send us an email at contact@aidronesim.com with :

  • The link to the Steam workshop page

  • Your paypal associated email. Please also send a friend request on steam to diophante.studio (friend code : 1196933938) so we can be sure it's the same person on email and steam.

• Deadline : 1st December 2022, 00AM UTC.

Results

• Racing : results will be announced shortly after verifying the leaderboards.

• Freestyle : results will be announced 2 weeks later, on November 26 th 2022.

• Map creator : results will be announced 2 weeks later, on December 17th 2022.

Payment Modalities

• As a general rule, payments are made via paypal. If for any reason you can't use paypal, send us an email and we may find an alternative. (like steam cards)

• We may contact you via Steam to verify the email sender and the steam pilot name are the same person.
