Update Notes

This update focuses on frontend redesign, companion growth features, plugin support, continuous task behavior, Skill presentation, and richer customization options. Our goal is to make the desktop pet not just a chat assistant, but a more beautiful, interactive, customizable, and expandable desktop companion.

  1. Complete Frontend Redesign

The frontend has been fully redesigned and polished, including improvements to layout, visual hierarchy, panels, buttons, interaction feedback, and overall UI consistency.

This update introduces three different frontend visual styles. More styles may be added in future updates. Some themes will be connected to the growth system and can be unlocked through daily interaction, affection growth, and task completion.

Multiple mouse click effects have also been added. These effects will become unlockable cosmetic items, allowing users to customize the desktop interaction experience.

  1. New Growth and Shop System

A new companion growth system has been introduced, including:

Affection level Idle growth Daily tasks Gift purchasing Feeding and gifting interactions Theme unlocking Mouse effect unlocking

Users can increase affection by interacting with the desktop pet, completing daily tasks, staying active, and giving gifts. As affection grows, new frontend themes, click effects, and other customization options can be unlocked.

These features do not require paid recharge. The purpose of the growth system is to improve long-term companionship and interaction, not to create a pay-to-win system.

  1. New Calendar and Festival System

A new calendar system has been added to record important dates and special events.

Supported dates include:

First meeting day New Year’s Day Valentine’s Day Other important festivals and anniversaries

On special days, the desktop pet may show unique greetings, visual effects, atmosphere changes, or limited-time interactions. More festival events will be added in future updates to make the companion feel more alive and connected to time.

  1. Improved Log Display

The log display has been optimized to make system status, task progress, errors, and runtime feedback easier to read.

The new log view reduces unnecessary information stacking and highlights important events more clearly, making it easier for users to understand what the desktop pet is currently doing.

  1. Better Behavior During Continuous Tasks

Previously, during long or continuous tasks, the desktop pet could talk too much after every small step, which sometimes interrupted the workflow.

This update improves continuous task behavior:

Users can set the maximum number of continuous execution rounds The desktop pet will speak less during task execution Status messages are now more concise, such as “Executing xxx” Popup display has been improved Repetitive explanations and unnecessary interruptions have been reduced

The desktop pet should now behave more like a real assistant during complex workflows: quietly executing tasks, giving brief status updates, and only speaking when needed.

  1. Better Skill Presentation

The Skill system has been upgraded with improved visual presentation. The desktop pet can now generate better-looking and more structured HTML-style Skill pages.

For example, vocabulary quizzes, learning cards, practice pages, task panels, and other interactive content can now be displayed in a web-like format instead of plain text only.

This makes it possible to build richer interactive Skills in the future, such as:

Vocabulary quizzes Study plans Practice cards Mini tool panels Gamified learning content Structured task pages

The goal is to allow the desktop pet not only to answer questions, but also to create small interactive tools and learning pages.

  1. New Plugin System

A more complete plugin system has been introduced. The desktop pet can now import third-party plugins, allowing new features to be developed, maintained, and connected independently.

Currently built-in plugin directions include:

Pomodoro timer Game bridge Other utility plugins

The game bridge is designed for connecting external games and enabling deeper game-related interactions. It is still under development.

More details about plugin development, plugin import rules, and third-party plugin guidelines will be shared later in the group chat.

  1. Richer Customization Options

This update adds more customization settings, giving users more control over the desktop pet experience.

This update is the first stage of a larger system upgrade. Future updates will continue to focus on making the desktop pet more beautiful, natural, playful, customizable, and expandable.
