Major Update: Meta Progression Overhaul & New Towers

This is one of the biggest updates to the game in a long time! Alongside the official introduction of the Paladin and Cleric towers, the game’s meta progression system has been completely reworked. As part of the rework, all progress and unlocks so far have been reset. Thank you for your patience 🙈

Let’s break it down 👇

New Towers: Paladin & Cleric

Two new towers have officially joined the roster - both geared towards crowd control and support.

  • Paladin

  • Cleric

These towers are unlocked through the new account-level progression system.

Meta Progression Overhaul

Factions are no longer unlockable. Instead, progression is now tied to a single account-wide level system.

As you level up, you’ll unlock:

  • New Towers

  • Artifacts

  • Additional Artifact Slots

Before starting a map, you’ll now configure a Loadout, allowing you to:

  • Select your starting towers

  • Equip artifacts

  • Allocate ability points

This gives you more control over your strategy before each map.

New Stats: Constitution & Wisdom

Two new stats have been added to expand build variety:

  • Constitution – Increases your maximum HP

  • Wisdom – Increases the Critical Chance of your towers

Intelligence now increases the Critical Damage of your towers.

💀 Skulls of Insanity (Difficulty Modifiers)

Each Skull:

  • Makes the game harder in a unique way

  • Grants bonus XP, Essence, and Score on victory

  • Is unlocked by completing maps

Currently Available Skulls

Skull of Vitality

  • Enemies gain +70% HP

  • +40% bonus XP / Essence / Score if you win

Skull of the Cyclops

  • You may only Sacrifice cards once per round

  • +50% bonus XP / Essence / Score if you win

More Skulls will be added over time.

Other:

  • Total waves increased from 20 → 25

  • The Hell Fiend makes a much stronger appearance in the final waves

  • New Artifacts

Several new artifacts have been added, including options that:

    • Increase your Supply

    • Enable high-tower-count (“spam”) strategies

    • Open up new build paths and synergies
