Technical Updates

In Patch #1, we fixed several funky visual bugs, added more life to the environment, fixed a few soft lock issues, and continued tweaking the keyboard and mouse controls. We still have some work to do in making the keyboard and mouse control setup streamlined, but we will keep iterating :)

We also just released the cathedral area which includes an entirely new area, puzzles, more battles, and a major boss fight!

What's coming up?

  • Adjusting controls to be more intuitive (navigating abilities, selecting characters during battle, etc.)

  • Adjusting grid movement so party members don't get stuck

  • Activate ore caches (you can see them visually but can't interact yet)

  • UI adjustments - indicating how HP and/or FP will change when selecting abilities, accessibility improvements (ability to increase text size, contrast, etc.),

  • Expanding tech moves so all characters can use them with varying bonuses based on affinity with the initiating team member

  • Lots more to come!

Art Corner

Our artists are working on several new characters coming up in future chapters - enemy NPCs, bosses, party members, and neutral NPCs! Take a look at some portraits and GIFs created last month:

What's Coming

We'll continue to update the demo with new fixes and improvements, so stay tuned for additional patch notes here on Steam. Our team is also now turning their attention towards developing systems that will exist in the final game, such as the character skills and class trees, level up abilities, and the affinity system where team members build relationships that significantly impact the game!

As always, thank you for playing and sharing your comments, questions, concerns, and ideas!
