July News - Learning from the Playtest and preparing the Demo

Hey Guildmasters! July was mostly about working on onboarding and tutorialisation as well as running the very first external playtest (with some eligible kickstarter backers).

added💻 Development update:Onboarding and tutorials: added a clearer introduction to the game, tutorialised the Evening Scene, and implemented a first prototype of the rumor/discovery scene.

July was mostly about working on onboarding and tutorialisation as well as running the very first external playtest (with some eligible kickstarter backers). Both working on these elements and the feedback from the playtest will prove extremely usefull for the next big step wich is preparing a Public Demo for the game!

💻 Development update:

  • Onboarding and tutorialsadded a clearer introduction to the game, tutorialised the Evening Scene, and implemented a first prototype of the rumor/discovery scene.
  • Quest content and continuityadjusted the quests available in the test build to create more varied and interesting outcomes. testers could also go past the end of the tutorial but the content was still limited to what was in it (rather than waht will be in the demo or full game even though some of it is already implemented)
  • Stability and polishfixed the blockers and bugs reported during the private backer playtest and it was was a valuable practice for distributing and updating future builds through Steam.
  • Save system: Started to work on a proper save system bringing the game closer to supporting longer play sessions and authored scenarios.
