Achilles: Survivor changes
Hi Survivors,
We finally have good news for everyone who’s been running into crashes with the latest Nvidia drivers - and a working solution!
You can now launch Achilles: Survivor using DirectX 11 to bypass the issue.
To do this:
Just go to Steam launcher as you normally would
Select DirectX 11 as your launch option
Press Play and (hopefully) enjoy a crash-free session!
Several players have already reported that this helped them finally get back into the game - so we hope it works for you too. 💙
We are truly sorry for the issues you faced.
It’s not the first chapter we wanted for version 1.0. But while we were wrestling with the problem, you were right there with us - sharing reports, testing possible fixes, and cheering us on when the battlefield felt uphill.
This fix wouldn’t have happened so quickly without one person in particular:
GothicTinus from our Discord, who sent us detailed logs, helped us pinpoint the issue, and tested out the solution.
Your deeds will echo through Olympus - thank you!
We also want to thank everyone in the Fatal Error Steam discussions thread (and everyone else affected) for reporting the issues they faced, testing out our ideas and being patient with us when we tried to find a solution.
And of course… a quiet thanks to Nvidia for their perfect timing...
We can finally rest a bit easier tonight, and next week we will be back full force with new fixes and improvements to the game 😊
