About Fishing Demo is out. Go play it.

If you're here for the About Fishing Demo - thank you. Seriously, it means the world. Two rounds of playtests, 45,334 of you showed up. And from over 4,000 filled out feedback forms, I've been constantly improving this project. This demo is hopefully another proof of that 🤞

We made you a demo. It's out right now, it'll take about 40-60 minutes to finish, and I'd love to know what you think of it.

What's new in the About Fishing Demo? Steam post image

There's a filleting mini game. You'll find the board on the bridge by the church. Try it. Tell me if it feels right.

There's also an aquarium across the street from your apartment. But I’m not gonna spoil what you’re gonna find there.

There's a new lure in the shop too - the skipping one. Give it a cast.

Controller support has been started! Try it out and give us feedback as we can continue to refine it.

What's in the demo? Steam post image

The first half is on the beach with Grandad. If you played the first playtest, you'll know what you're walking into. Play through it - but when the credits start rolling, don't close the game. Wait them out. There's a second half of the demo on the other side. In the second half, you wake up and a yellow tang leads you to the fridge. Something is under the church. You're going to need to go in there and deal with it.

...And there's a locked door in your apartment. It's been closed for a reason.

Open the tackle box any time to check the black book - it'll keep you on track if things get murky.

When you're done, there's a feedback form waiting at the end of the demo. Filling it out would genuinely mean the world - every response shapes what gets built next, and I read all of it.
