You may have noticed already, but we’re now less than a month away from the release of A Tale of Silent Depths!
And yesterday, at April 17th, the game started it's participation in the Earth Appreciation Festival. To celebrate both this wonderful event and our upcoming launch, we’re releasing a new and updated demo for you to dive deep into.
The countdown has officially begun.
After all the work, feedback, and support, A Tale of Silent Depths is finally approaching launch. We’re incredibly happy to be this close, and we want to sincerely thank everyone who has followed the project so far. This game has been in development for six years, during which we also released other games and gained the experience that made this project possible. For me, Eduardo, bringing this game to life has been a deeply meaningful journey and a great joy.
Crit42 has gone through many ups and downs while developing this game, and every challenge has felt worth it. Being able to play and explore the silent ocean of this world is a reward in itself. It feels like yesterday that I was immersed in the lore writing and worldbuilding that shaped the heart of the game. To be honest, every time I playtest it, I come up with new ideas for content. I could probably keep developing it for much longer, but it feels like the right time to finally share it with the world.
New Demo Available
To celebrate this milestone, the festival, and the upcoming release, we’re launching a new demo version of the game.
This updated demo includes a number of improvements and refinements based on the previous version, along with some new content. We’ve also made significant improvements to the onboarding and overall user experience. It offers a fresh glimpse of what you can expect from the full game.
And one last important message...
Thank you for being here with us. We truly mean it. I truly mean it. At this point, this game feels like a child to me, and I sincerely hope you’ll come to love it as much as I do.
Cheers!
-Eduardo
