Over the past days, so many of you stepped into Republica, played the demo, shared feedback, streamed A Study in Blue, talked about it… and added the game to your wishlist.

Seeing thousands of new wishlists appear after four years of development means more than we can put into words. Thank you for the time, curiosity, and trust you’ve shown our small team!

🔎 About the Demo

For those who have just discovered it — or are considering diving in — here are a few things to know about A Study in Blue ’ s demo:

  • The demo is a side quest from the full game, lasting around 2 hours on average.

  • You investigate the mysterious death of Lucy, Kiara Carter ’s friend, and her connection to the events unfolding in Republica...

While this chapter focuses on a self-contained investigation, the full 1.0 release will explore much more:

  • The evolving relationship between Kenneth and Blue

  • The other inhabitants of Republica

  • The main storyline and additional environments

  • And a few secrets waiting for the most attentive players…

The demo will remain available until the full release, so you can replay it, try different choices, or recommend it to friends without worry!

We’ve carefully noted your feedback and have already implemented our first round of improvements!

A Study in Blue | Demo Patch Note — 0.0.4

  • Ambient sounds and interface sounds can now be adjusted independently in the options.

  • Added the option to disable the dialogue letter sound effect.

  • Fixed several errors in the English localization.

  • Adjusted the Romanov sequence: reaching the door now automatically completes the phase.

  • Improved the cemetery tutorial for clarity. Some players were getting stuck because they hadn’t found the clues to present to Kiara Carter, so we’ve made this step clearer and easier to understand.
