Update

Hey everyone,

I’ve been working on A Ragdoll Rage Game Demo almost every day throughout this college semester. A lot of development hasn’t just been writing code or designing features... It’s been watching. I’ve seen all the feedback y'all have provided and watched gameplay footage of others, paying attention to every hesitation, fall, missed fling, or moment of confusion.

Seeing how real players interact with the game has shaped this update more than anything else. Where people struggled for the wrong reasons, I stepped in. Where paths weren’t clear, I adjusted them. Every change in this patch is tied to something I saw, read, or learned from you.

It’s not about making the game easier, it’s about making it fairer and clearer. Playing this rage game is hard enough!

I’m starting to shift my focus toward the full release now. I took a step back to polish the demo (and I’ll continue refining it), but there’s a lot more coming soon, such as more customization, an accessible level editor, a longer map, and your other weird ideas.

Patch Notes

Fixes & Improvements:

  • Fixed a culling bug where background objects popped in and out in certain areas

  • Improved camera movement in the main menu

  • Updated textures (elevator, desert section, barn bull)

  • Added more directional arrows for clearer navigation

  • Adjusted several sections to be easier or more intuitive

Gameplay Changes:

  • Added more rocks to the beginning section to reduce early frustration

  • Lily-pads are now removed after passing Checkpoint 1

  • In Checkpoint Mode, the reset button now more accurately says “Checkpoint”

  • In-game cutscenes won't replay as often in Checkpoint Mode when moving in the intended direction.

  • The main menu is now more interactive, and the intro cutscene can be skipped

Audio:

  • Added 4 new soundtracks to the game

  • Fixed other audio bugs

Thanks for helping me shape this game for you. Feel free to check out the demo, and thanks for continuing to share your feedback and support! ❤️
