removedPATCH NOTESNOTE: if you have modded stages, this update may cause them to not work properly. remove stage mods if you are experiencing crashes. (they should still be usable, the way to do it might just be a little different)
changedPATCH NOTESthis patch addes online team battles, but mainly aims to fix crashes and bugs. sarissae will still be releasing this month, i just figured it was better to update the rest of the game ahead of schedule. sarissae's release will also include a balance patch for the other 4 characters
addedONLINE TEAMSyou can now choose to play team battles online, with team attack on or off. currently, only the host can decide teams. in the next update with sarissae, i will add more color palettes to each character, to help differentiate team colors.
addedGAMEPLAYadded "random" option when selecting characters - added "random" option when selecting stages - you can now select any stage during training mode - you can now select the training stage in regular matches - CPU difficulty button has been reworked (and no longer crashes in certain situations) - added "angle-mod" as an optional input for keyboard controls. holding this allows you to snap to 22.5 degree angles, meaning you can hit angles in between 45 degrees. useful mostly for ninja's up special for now, allowing you to use more angles on keyboard. - changed the keyboard binding for "frame advance" to backspace, so keyboard players don't jump every time they use frame advance - improved the camera behavior. it shouldn't go past the horizontal blastzones anymore, and you should be able to see a little further vertically during combos
fixedOPTIMIZATIONS / BUG FIXESmany many little optimizations in the background. texture sheet cleanups, removal of unused assets, etc. overall the game should run better, crash less, and HOPEFULLY the memory leak experienced by some players has been resolved. we have more online optimizations to work through, but they will be included in a later patch. - when the game launches, the studio bidou logo is now centered - text added in the controls menu explaining how to delete profiles - CPU difficulty settings now carry over between matches, and will not crash the game. they also have a new look, and are easier to understand at a glance. - fixed various crashes with quickplay/lobby/online matches. lobbies should also show up and update appropriately now - fixed various crashes with training mode - ninja can no longer dash out of burst - fixed "hide hud" option in replays
