93, Kuindzhi changes
The release of “Kuindzhi, 93” has taken place — an atmospheric first-person miniature about 18-year-old Artyom from Donbas, who finds himself in Mariupol in March 2022. After a call from his father, the protagonist drops out of school and sets off as a volunteer, trying to understand his place in a world collapsing before his eyes.
The game focuses not on the external conflict, but on a person’s inner experience: memory, fear, loneliness, doubt, and moral choice. Artyom does not take up a weapon, which earns him the callsign “Pacifist.”
Special attention is given to sound and visual presentation: radio chatter, footsteps, distant explosions, anxious silence, as well as realistic and atmospheric graphics help assemble the game’s space into a complete, living scene.
The main character is voiced by rap artist Husky. The story also features Dima OM., Evgeny Chebatkov, Denis Stelmakh, Smyslovye Gallyutsinatsii, Pomni Imya Svoe.
Dedicated to the blessed memory of the volunteers.
