addedHipfire Free AimFor veteran players of Red Orchestra and Rising Storm, ‘free aim’ has been a top request from our community, and we’ve decided to add hipfire free-aim as a toggleable, opt-in setting in ‘83.

changedHipfire Free AimWe are also investigating the possibility of making this setting an enforceable server-side option for Community Servers, allowing our community to customize their server experience to their preference in the future.

changedCommunity ServersServer owned and run community servers will also be ready for day 1 Early Access launch! We’re working with a (yet to be announced) major server provider to offer server rentals to our community, and work continues ensuring that we create a great toolset for community server admins to administer and monitor their servers.

changedCommunity ServersThis work will continue after launch so, while the launch version will have a robust admin panel available, we will improve this continuously beyond launch to ensure we give our community admins the best tools available.

Today we wanted to give you a small development update following the conclusion of our recent Closed Beta – many thanks to all of you who attended, provided feedback, suggestions, and bug reports.

As a core part of our development philosophy, community involvement in ‘83 is an essential part in making ‘83 the best it can be, and today we’re happy to announce that two common community requests will be available from Early Access launch day.

Hipfire Free Aim

For veteran players of Red Orchestra and Rising Storm, ‘free aim’ has been a top request from our community, and we’ve decided to add hipfire free-aim as a toggleable, opt-in setting in ‘83.

We are also investigating the possibility of making this setting an enforceable server-side option for Community Servers, allowing our community to customize their server experience to their preference in the future.

Community Servers

Server owned and run community servers will also be ready for day 1 Early Access launch! We’re working with a (yet to be announced) major server provider to offer server rentals to our community, and work continues ensuring that we create a great toolset for community server admins to administer and monitor their servers.

Reddit AMA – Thursday 6 PM GMT / 1 PM ET / 10 AM PT

This Thursday we will be hosting a Reddit AMA on our sub-reddit where you can ask the development team anything (within reason), and better yet – you can submit your questions right now.

Head over to our sub-Reddit and let us know your burning questions.

We will begin to answer at 6 PM GMT / 1 PM ET / 10 AM PT on Thursday, April 2nd when we will tackle both live questions and all the questions posted before that time.
