v5 Major Update — Steam Cloud Saves + 10 Achievements Live

A week into launch, and the community has left so much feedback — criticism, improvement suggestions, optimization ideas. It's genuinely heartwarming. So I rolled up my sleeves: fix what needs fixing, add what needs adding. Quick.

v5 ships the two most-requested features in one go:

1. STEAM CLOUD SAVES

Mac and Windows players can now switch devices, reinstall, or buy on a new machine without losing progress. Steam syncs saves automatically once installed — no action needed.

2. 10 ACHIEVEMENTS LIVE

• Story milestones: Case Opened, Into the Mist, The Bridge Confession, Closing In, Mistbreaker

• Detective depth: First Deduction, Clue Hunter (50 clues), Master Detective (every clue + every deduction)

• Hidden challenges: The Mole, Hard-Boiled Detective (clear the game without ever buying an L2 paid hint)

"Hard-Boiled Detective" is dedicated to players willing to think for themselves and not pay for the answer — echoing what one curator praised as the game's "no easy way out" design.

[Existing Players — Auto Backfill]

After updating to v5, when you load your save, the game will scan your progress and grant every achievement you've already earned. Half-finished runs, full completions — all picked up automatically. Just open the game and load.

WHAT'S NEXT

Adjustable font size, text settings menu, manual save button, AI cutscene polish, and other feedback are all on the roadmap, rolling out one at a time.
