changedLetter to Our PlayersThe full version of the game is approximately six to seven times the size of the demo. Since our team does not have a dedicated animator, I have taken on multiple roles as the producer, including game design, environment art, animation, cinematics, and voice direction. The other members of the team have also had to wear at least two hats each. I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank them for all their hard work. I am sure many fellow indie developers know exactly what it feels like to juggle so many different responsibilities. To all of you, consider this a tearful pat on the shoulder—we are in this together. The release of VESSEL is only our first step, and it is by no means the end of the journey. We will continue improving VESSEL in an organized and steady manner while also moving forward with the development of our future projects. After all, making games is what I truly love, and it is something I hope to keep doing for a very long time.
changedRegarding Bugs After ReleaseWe are not bringing this up as a way to make excuses in advance. Rather, we want to make a sincere commitment to everyone who purchases the game: we take bugs very seriously. Although each member of the team has spent around 200 hours testing the game, it is still possible that previously undiscovered issues may surface after release. We will address and fix them as quickly as possible based on your feedback, and we kindly ask for a little patience and understanding while we do so.
changedRegarding AI-Generated ContentThe content primarily created using AI includes the game’s cinematics, some of its images, and all character voice performances. Since our team does not have an animator, we evaluated our options and concluded that producing the cinematics with Stable Diffusion would result in a more polished presentation than what we could create entirely by hand. Although some of the cinematics in the demo were relatively rough, we have reworked and improved the quality of most of the AI-assisted animations for the full release. We have also ensured that the environments shown in these cinematics match the actual environments in the game. The game’s environments, props, characters, code, and visual effects were all created either with development assets or by hand. We hope this helps put your minds at ease.
addedRegarding AI-Generated ContentFinally, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to every player who has added VESSEL to their wishlist or purchased the game. Please feel free to share your criticism, feedback, or any issues you encounter at any time. Every single comment you send us is incredibly important. Sincerely,

Letter to Our Players

First and foremost, we would like to sincerely thank everyone who has shown interest in and support for VESSEL after seeing our promotional content.

As we have received more and more questions, concerns, and words of encouragement in recent weeks, I have felt an increasing sense of responsibility as the producer—but also an incredible amount of motivation. We began developing this two-player co-op game in July 2025 with a team of just two or three people. After months of on-and-off exploration and experimentation, it was not until March 2026 that we officially expanded to a four-person team and began working full-time on the content for the full release.

The full version of the game is approximately six to seven times the size of the demo.

Regarding Bugs After Release

We are not bringing this up as a way to make excuses in advance.

Regarding Online Co-op

VESSEL uses a peer-to-peer networking system. One player acts as the host and is responsible for sending game data to the other player. As a result, if the host has limited upload bandwidth, the online experience may become unstable. We appreciate your understanding.

Regarding AI-Generated Content

The content primarily created using AI includes the game’s cinematics, some of its images, and all character voice performances.

Finally, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to every player who has added VESSEL to their wishlist or purchased the game. Please feel free to share your criticism, feedback, or any issues you encounter at any time. Every single comment you send us is incredibly important. Sincerely,

The VESSEL Development Team
