The publisher heard you — and reached out to us, Madnetic Games, to take the helm. In Q1/Q2 2024, we officially joined the project, with a fresh team that includes former developers of Last Oasis, and we immediately got to work.

We’ve created a short video showcasing how the level design evolved across three key stages:

  • 🗺️ June 2024 – initial tutorial blockout

  • 🛠️ December 2024 – refined layout before the first community test

  • 🌊 May 2025 – the current, feedback-driven version

Over a year of development, three key milestones, and one mission — to make 30 Days On Ship the co-op survival game you actually want to play.

🔧 Not Just a New Map – A New Beginning

One of our first tasks was to build a tutorial level, and by June 2024 we had a solid blockout ready. But very quickly we realized that it wasn’t just the map that needed a redesign.

🎮 The movement system and core mechanics were originally made for single-player — so we made a tough but necessary call: 👉 Rebuild the gameplay systems from scratch, with multiplayer and co-op in mind from the start.

And the design direction? That came directly from you — from your comments under the trailer and your feedback across the community.

🧪 Playtests, Feedback, and Revisions

After a few months of internal development, we received approval to run our first playtest — and on December 20, 2024, a small group of players from the community got their hands on the game for the very first time.

The feedback was honest and direct:"There’s promise here — but it needs more polish."So that’s exactly what we did. We polished. We iterated. We listened.

Between March and May 2025, more players from the PlayWay community joined further testing rounds. As a result, we introduced massive improvements to level flow, optimization, co-op functionality, and gameplay balance.

💬 Most Frequently Asked Questions

🧭 When will the next playtest happen? We’re currently working on resolving a specific multiplayer issue. Once it’s fixed, we expect to receive the green light for public testing.

🎮 Will I get a chance to play the game? Yes! Even if you don’t make it into the playtests, we’re planning to release a demo. Players will be invited in waves — and if everything stays stable, we’ll keep expanding access. Your feedback will continue to shape how the game evolves.

❤️ Thank You for Staying With Us

Every step of the journey — from redesigns to bug fixes — has been shaped by your support. 30 Days On Ship is not just being made for players, but with players.

We’re incredibly grateful to have you aboard. Let us know what you think of the new level design — and stay tuned. We’ll be back soon with more updates (and hopefully a confirmed playtest date)! 🛳️
