Spring Outing at Qingming: Hunting for Treasures in the Fox's Shadow

The new Qingming Festival update for *City of Heroes 3* has arrived! We invite you to log in and experience the new content!

I. Qingming Festival Boss Treasure Event Launches

1. A dedicated interface for the Festival Treasure Event has been added, making the event more intuitive and easier to navigate while it is active.

2. During the Qingming Festival period (April 3 – April 6), a special event boss treasure—the **[Flower Boat]**—will randomly spawn daily in the open seas near the Trade Posts. Additionally, a treasure known as the **[Festival Fox Spirit]** will randomly spawn daily within various famous cities. Attacking these targets yields substantial rewards, such as **[Qingming Small Gift Boxes]**. Opening these gift boxes grants access to festival-exclusive items, including rare cosmetic skins and collectibles. There is also a chance to directly obtain the exclusive Qingming Festival mount skin: the **Fox Spirit**!

Event 1: Flower Boat Treasure

From April 3 to April 6, **Flower Boat Treasures** will randomly spawn daily in the open seas near the Trade Posts located in the Eastern, Western, Southern, Northern, and Central Continents. Simply attacking any Flower Boat Treasure—regardless of whether you destroy it—qualifies you to claim a reward before midnight (24:00) on that day. However, attacking the Flower Boat Treasure's defending forces and reducing its durability will earn you Siege Points.

Daily Rewards (Guaranteed): 100 Diamonds, 200,000 Silver Coins, 5x 5-Star Hero Shards, and 3x Qingming Small Gift Boxes. Additionally, there is a chance to obtain 5-Star Skill Cards and additional Qingming Small Gift Boxes. Players may participate in this event and claim these rewards once per day!

Event 2: Festival Fox Spirit

From April 3 to April 6, the **Festival Fox Spirit** will randomly spawn once every hour.

The Festival Fox Spirit is classified as a "Large Treasure," allowing multiple players to cooperate in attacking it. Players may claim rewards from this event up to three times per day.

Each successful defeat of a Festival Fox Spirit yields the following rewards: 20 Diamonds, 200,000 Silver Coins, 2x Hero Roulette Tickets (or Hero Evolution Roulette Tickets), 1x Qingming Small Gift Box, and 3x Cosmetic Shards. Furthermore, there is a chance to obtain World Recruitment Refresh Cards and additional Qingming Small Gift Boxes.

Upon opening, there is a chance to obtain the following items: the limited-edition Qingming Festival Marching Skin—**Fox Spirit**—as well as limited-edition Collectibles, Avatars, Diamonds, and other rewards.

II. Singularity Research Rewards Optimization

1. Removed the reward drop for Intermediate Collection Shards.

2. Added new Animal Collections and Ancient Artifact Collections. These can be opened immediately upon acquisition to receive a random Collection item of the corresponding type.

III. Red Equipment Synthesis Optimization: Reduced the amount of special materials required to synthesize Red Equipment, making the synthesis process much more convenient!

IV. Client Performance Optimization

1. Optimized performance to resolve lag issues occurring when multiple players simultaneously attack a famous city.

2. Optimized performance to resolve lag issues occurring when dragging the map.

3. Fixed an issue where saved formations would sometimes fail to display when loaded.

4. Optimized the logic for "Auto-Looting" (Auto-Treasure Hunting), making the process much smoother.

V. Added a large number of brand-new items and Collections, which can be obtained through corresponding in-game activities and events.
