10 Second Mixtape changes
We’re back with a fresh update for our playtesting build, and it’s been awesome seeing all the wild tracks you’ve been creating so far. Huge thanks to everyone who’s been testing, experimenting, and sharing feedback — your input is shaping the future of Ten Second Mixtape!
We’ve got a bunch of bigger features in the works based on your suggestions, but since our main gigs have been keeping us busy, those will take a little longer to land. In the meantime, we’ve cooked up something fun:
🧪 A Whole New Batch of Sounds to Play With!
We’ve added a ton of new instruments and sound effects for you to experiment with. We’re especially curious to see which ones you end up using the most (and which get ignored 😅). Your choices will help us decide what kinds of sounds and styles to expand on next!
⚠️ Note: None of these have their final art yet — you’ll see temporary icons for now.
⚠️ Note: Because these sounds are for testing purposes some of them might get retired as development continues. In that case any tracks made with those sounds will likely remain but get replaced with another instrument.
Here’s the full list of what’s new in the latest test build (available in our Discord):
🎵 New Instruments & Sounds:
Xylophone • Vibraphone • Boys Choir • Matsusne Hiku • Acid Bass • Slap Bass • Chiptune • Timpani • Accordion • Whistling • Orchestra Hit • Koto • String Section • Clav • Tuba • Flute • Clarinet • Church Organ • Electric Piano • Jazz Kit • 808 • Drum and Bass Kit • Air Horn • Banjo • Harp • Bird • Church Bell • Jaw Harp • Eastern Kit • Indian Kit • Steel Drums • Djent Guitar • Music Box • Sitar • Dial Tones • Record Scratchin’ • Wine Glasses • Sad Ghost • Broken Toy • Throat Singer • Cellotron • Old Movie Violins • 80s Synth Keys • Aerobics VHS Drums
That’s a lot of noise. We can’t wait to hear what kind of beautiful chaos you come up with.

Keep rockin’ 🎸
