Zombie Slapper Update 0.2 Patch Notes 1/21/23
This update introduces a new Custom Operations mode as well some quality of life updates and bug fixes. The update is approximately 29mb in size. Check out the patch notes below for full details.
Added a custom operation feature that can be accessed from the "Select Operation" menu. In this menu you can edit 20+ different parameters for the game to your liking. Note that all progression is blocked during custom operations. - Along with custom games, a few preset game modes have been added too:
"One Slap Chap" makes all zombies one hit, but also makes you one hit.
"Pain" increases the difficulty of the game significantly. Player base stats, stat point earnings, power-up times, and earned money are all reduced by 50%. Zombie kill EXP and round completion EXP is increased by 50% in this game mode.
"It's a Feature" causes random things to happen every 60 seconds. There are 30 different events that can happen that range from earning money, to changing zombie behavior, or even just changing random settings in the game.
Slowed down the Helislaptor animation slightly but also made the ultimate last sightly longer. - Changed the way that traps calculate damage. Previously traps would instant kill base zombies no matter what and it would do 1.5x the amount of slap damage that you do to super zombies. Now traps calculate damage the same way that player slaps calculate damage with a 1.5x multiplier to all zombie types. This means in the later rounds that base zombies will not always be one hit, but it also means that traps can now crit. This should result in overall trap effectiveness increasing.
- Added an indicator that tells you the name of a power-up when its used. - Added a red outline around the screen that gets darker as your health gets lower as well as a heartbeat sound that gets louder as your health gets lower to better indicate that you are taking damage. The outline is not there and the sound does not play when your health is full. - Changed health regen to be 20% of your max health/second instead of 20 health/second to avoid long health regens after upgrading your health in later rounds. With health regen power up its 25% health/second. - Added a new text box in the pause menu that shows what perk cards you have active. - Added an option in the settings menu to hide the armor skin when armor is active. - Added the skip cutscene option to the opening cutscene of the game. - Added a new interactable in the starting area that allows you to turn on/off "aggressive zombies". This makes the zombies spawn at the fastest spawn speed and they are always runners with a faster initial speed. All other scaling remains unchanged. - Updated stat point station UI to show what the next bonus will be rather than the current bonus as well as making it more clearly indicated as to what the purchase requirements are. - Added a sound effect as well as a flashing animation to the ultimate bar when your ultimate is ready.
Added various sound effects across the game. - Updated the fire effect in the fire barrels to match the fire effect in the rest of the game. - Changed the run animation to scale with the speed of your character. - Performed more script optimizations. - Updated the dash ability icon from the old player model to the current one. - Made the Belly Boi animations blend properly.
Fixed the distortion that would happen when killing a zombie with higher level damage. - Fixed a pathing issue at the gas station that would cause zombies to get stuck on the pump. - Fixed bug that would allow you to damage the "Nun-Dead" boss with a slap while her shield was up. - Fixed an issue that wouldn't show the stat bonuses in the pause menu after opening the help and settings menu. - Fixed an issue at the gas station that would cause the player to float for a bit after going over the cracked ground. - Fixed a visual issue that wouldn't properly update the health bar with the leech perk health recharge. - Fixed a bug that would sometimes cause the zombies to spawn in the wrong area.
