changedOkay so hey, wow, here we are. BETAI have just been working for so long on this thing that occasionally the strict timelines that you set for yourself end up expanding beyond belief, and here we are.
changedOkay so hey, wow, here we are. BETAI have some actual testers. First of all, if you’re play testing, thank you very much. If you are not and would like to be a play tester, please like and subscribe, like and subscribe, all the above, blah blah blah.
changedThe UpdateWhat does this update include? Basically you’re looking at a fairly strong version of the game. It is presentable. It kind of looks okay. It sounds pretty good. There are absolutely some bugs, but the major ones that have been caught have been squashed. The content itself is still rather sparse, but I have been trying to build it out this year, the last two years actually, and I think as far as like having a basically enjoyable game, there is some of that here.
changedThe UpdateAnd moving forward the goal is just to continue to make it more fun, a little bit zanier, with features that I myself would want to see in a game like this. I have a very, very long feature list, but for now we have only this beta version. Please please please help me out. If you are testing, leave feedback. There’s a feedback form in game and I am very much asking you to utilize it and give me your thoughts. Report back on bugs, report back on things you didn’t like, things that you did like, things that really stand out to you.
changedThe JourneyYou Are Dead is my passion project. I love it. I love working on it. It has been literally only me this entire time. I started a long time ago, many years now at this point have I given to this little project, but it has been one of my best pals. And through tried and true we’ve squeezed out this little beta baby together.

Current and future play testing

I am trying to make a game that we can all enjoy because it’s been like seven years of me coming home after the bars at night and turning this game on and playing it and like having the most fun just playing my own creation on my TV with a game controller. Like I just don’t know anything better than that sensation. But a lot of it’s been happening in a silo, so I am expanding out this playtest to some more people and I’m welcoming the public to sign up for now. So let me know what you think.

The Journey

You Are Dead is my passion project. I love it. I love working on it. It has been literally only me this entire time. I started a long time ago, many years now at this point have I given to this little project, but it has been one of my best pals. And through tried and true we’ve squeezed out this little beta baby together.

And I actually even learned how to program on this game. That was my goal initially, was to learn how to code and make a game, and I just decided to keep going with the project. So that’s why this game is so weird and has a lot of little quirks, because there’s so much bad code in this game, oh my god. Like... like I don’t understand why people do this. Coding is so challenging. It is a pain in the ass honestly. So often it’s a pain in the ass. But I will say most of the pain in the ass on this project has just been fixing my old mistakes when I didn’t know how to code so well.

It is a spiderweb in here, friends, and I’m trapped in it. And I need... I need help. Help me. Like who let me start this project. Why are we... why are we still here. It’s like basically seven years later. I don’t know. What. How. What. How.

Anyway. Big update. Have a ball. You know, all that. Let me know what you think!
