changedOver the past month, Midgard has been analyzing the carbon footprint of our development, and the results are in! πŸŽ‰ We only emitted 0.025 tons of CO2 (wow, I'm able to lift our carbon emissions πŸ’ͺ) We were able to keep it so low in part because of the small scope of the game, but also because the entire team worked from home and because many of us get our electricity from a renewable source. This project is expected to restore more than 2,600 acres that experienced high-severity burn in the 2021 Harris Mountain Fire 🌳🌳🌳 Their unique approach to post-wildfire restoration combines proven reforestation practices with new technology to regrow healthy, resilient, climate-adapted forests after they have experienced catastrophic wildfires.
changedIn addition to offsetting, Rooibos Games pledged to switch to completely renewable electricity before the release of our next game ⚑⚑⚑ This counts not only for our office, but also for any future employee work-from-home setup. I have to say it's quite scary to commit to something like this, but the only way out of the climate crisis is forward, and we all have to do our part πŸ’ͺ
