The 1.2 update is now live.

The primary addition in this release is a new food and materials economy system.

Cities now produce and consume resources. Food-producing cities require materials to operate, while material-producing cities require food. Production can also be halted by power outages or lack of required resources.

In the case of material-producing cities, prolonged disruption will gradually increase panic levels.

The current implementation is intentionally fairly forgiving, but further balancing and expansion of the system is planned based on feedback and playtesting.

Additionally, a new research option has been introduced:

  • Faster XP gain for units

As usual, the update also includes various bug fixes, optimizations and general improvements.

For the next release (which I hope to prepare before the end of the summer), the primary focus will be improvements to onboarding, tutorialization and the overall new player experience.

Thanks for the continued support, and until next time.
