I'm excited to share the release of 0.5.0 update! It features major performance improvements, new content, and critical bug fixes to Xavian! This release marks a major milestone in development as we continue to refine the player experience as we get closer to the full 1.0 release 😁 Now, without further ado the patch notes:
Technical & Performance Update
Upgraded the game engine to Unity 6.0.,
Optimized performance across all platforms:
Removed Roughness & Ambient Occlusion Maps from all NPCs and Enemies.,
Combined multiple maps into a single Mask Map for efficiency.,
Reduced total number of shaders and texture assets.,
Dropped support for Intel-based macOS systems (Apple Silicon still supported)
Cutscenes & Cinematics
Cutscenes are now character-specific depending on whether you play as Hathor or Xavian.,
Updated visuals and new audio/SFX in the Arena
Fixed bug where conversations could be skipped unintentionally.,
New opening cutscene added for both characters in Scene 02.,
Cutscene transitions into gameplay are now smoother and more seamless.,
NPCs & Conversations
Added 2 new NPCs: Hippo and Rhino.,
Overhauled locomotion and animations for all 8 NPCs
Improved walking, talking, and idle animations.
During conversations: NPCs now correctly enter their talking animations.,
Dynamic camera framing keeps both player and NPCs in view throughout the interaction

Tutorial & Camera
Streamlined the camera control tutorial to be more intuitive and clear
Rail Grinding System
Switching between rails
Dismounting from a rail
Camera rotation while grinding
Scene 02 – Rail Mission
Fixed multiple soft-lock bugs during the rail missions
Soft-lock after starting the Rail Mission
Soft-lock after restarting the mission
UI-related soft-locks when either succeeding or failing the mission
Boss Fight (Scene 01)
Implemented a new camera system that locks onto both the player and boss.,
Added two distinct phases to the Boss Fight for a more dynamic encounter.,
Environment & Level Design for Scene 02
Added new food stand props for livelier areas
Expanded Rail Grind routes for more traversal variety
Improved lighting and shadows with the Unity 6.0 upgrade
