World of Warships: Legends changes
Ahoy, Captains!
Our upcoming September Playtest sets sail with a range of improvements and changes across the Steam version. This Playtest is part of the September Update, bringing content that's nearly on par with what's available on console and mobile.
Here’s what’s changed since our first Closed Beta Test:
Progression & Account
Max account level increased to 9.
Auto‑login enabled: Launch the game and you’ll be signed in automatically.
Gameplay & Modes
- Available battle typesVersus AI, Arcade, Standard, Brawl, Ranked Note: Some modes listed above may not be available during this Playtest.
- Quick commandsNow available in battle.
Commander presets: Save and recall preferred Commander configurations.
Steam-Specific Features
Steam Deck (experimental support): The game can now be launched on Steam Deck. UI improvements are planned for future updates.
Enhanced Steam features:
o Rich presence – see what modes your friends are playing. o Recent players – track recent teammates and opponents. o Steam timelines – shows sunk ship markers in recorded gameplay.
Settings & UI
Key binding customization: Full ability to remap keyboard controls.
- Gamepad supportEarly-stage support available for Port and in-battle modes. More improvements will come in the future.
Advanced graphics options: Including HDR, ray tracing, and display monitor selection.
Scroll system overhaul: Smoother and more responsive UI scrolling.
Nickname change: Editable from the Settings menu.
Service record screen: Fully implemented and accessible.
- UI enhancementsImproved clarity and responsiveness for Close/Back buttons.
Communication & Social
- Voice chatFully enabled for supported game modes (Division and all battle types).
Notifications: In-game alerts and messages are fully functional.
Store
Bundles: Random and chained bundles are now functional.
Other
Improved Close/Back button visibility and behavior.
Social links added to menu/Port.
Loadout and Commander usability improvements.
