World of Tanks Blitz changes
With the launch of the World of Tanks Blitz Reforged Update on June 17, the way you earn Silver is changing and becoming more transparent. Today, we'll break down exactly how Silver income is calculated, what role medals and ribbons play, and how tank profitability works.
Watch the video and read the article to learn all the details!
The Better You Play, The More You Earn
The update takes a major step toward a clearer, fairer, and more rewarding experience. The new progression system ties earnings more directly to visible battle achievements, such as Mastery Badges, medals, and ribbons, helping players better understand how their performance translates into rewards.
Every Mastery Badge, medal, and ribbon has its own Silver value, depending on its achievement grade. The higher the grade, the more Silver it brings. Medals and ribbons of the same grade have the same Silver value. The achievement value also depends on the tank tier. Higher-tier tanks earn more Silver for the same achievements.
Your Silver earnings are calculated based on your best achievements in battle:
By default, Common and Collector tanks earn Silver for the top 3 achievements
Tanks with boosted profitability earn Silver for the top 4 to 6 achievements
Premium tanks earn Silver for the top 7 to 10 achievements
Once the base amount of Silver is calculated from your achievements, bonuses are applied, including Boosters, Premium Account, and other applicable bonuses. Expenses for used Consumables and Premium Shells are then deducted.
Once everything is counted, that's the Silver you've earned in battle—and it's yours to keep.
If you perform well in a battle, it will bring you a solid amount of Silver, regardless of the battle outcome: victory, draw, or defeat. However, if you don't contribute to the battle, there are no achievements to count and no Silver to award.
Boost Your Profitability
Profitability used to be called Enrichment. Previously, it was a single upgrade, but now you can choose the grade that works best for you: Rare, Epic, or Legendary profitability for your Common and Collector tanks. Check the profitability level of any tank and boost it on the special Tank Profitability screen.
Besides adding more achievements to the count, profitability also increases the Silver value of counted achievements.
If your tank was Enriched before the WoT Blitz Reforged Update, it will receive a Legendary profitability grade. And if your Collector tank had increased profitability—for example, because it was once Premium—that advantage will be carried over as well.
At the same time, all Collector vehicles purchased after the update will have Common profitability by default, which can be improved later.
More Silver Than Before
With the WoT Blitz Reforged Update, modules will be researched using Silver instead of XP. This change is designed to make tank upgrades more flexible: if you have enough Silver, you can upgrade a tank to its top configuration right away and roll into battle without playing through stock modules.
This means that Silver becomes even more important in progression. That's why battles will bring more Silver on average than before the update.
When reworking the earning system, we considered the full progression flow, including module research, tank upgrades, profitability, and battle rewards. Still, the work doesn't stop here. After the update goes live, we'll continue to monitor battle data and player feedback closely. If Silver income needs tuning in future updates, we'll do just that.
