If you still felt as though Update 2 wasn't truly big enough to be called "The Big One", this is why. Some features planned for Update 2 were pushed back to get some major fixes and improvements out first, and localization was a huge undertaking! So here is the rest of Update 2!

Localization!

- Added support for localization!

- Added the following languages: Finnish, Italian, Spanish (MX)

To assure quality translations and support professional translators, all translations are done by native speakers of each respective language.

Extensive testing and research was also done for each one to make sure all text is accurate, and that the menus and UI can always accommodate different text lengths.

If there's any issues or suggestions with each localization or it's implementation, please let me know!

Note: New text in small updates may not be localized immediately, and may take a day or two for implementation.

Major updates should always include up to date translations for all text immediately on release.

System

  • Major performance optimizations

Gameplay

  • Players no longer slightly stick to walls at high velocity

  • Greatly improved accuracy of collision between the puck and players/goalies.

  • Vertical speed of a puck shot now has significantly more variety.

  • The higher a puck is in the air, the more difficult it is now to save.

CPU Behaviour

  • CPU goalies now go deeper into the net when the puck is closer

  • Pro & Legend difficulty CPUs have significantly better shot accuracy

  • CPU players no longer fail to find the puck when it's stopped at the backside of the net

  • Minor difficulty balancing

Exhibition Mode

  • Last used game rules are now saved.

  • CPU difficulty levels are now saved.

Tournament Mode

  • Fixed shootout wins counting as a loss.

  • Rink can now be freely changed on tourneys that don't use a specific rink.

  • Tourney brackets now show which teams the tournament has been beaten with already.

  • Last used game rules are now saved.

World Champion

  • Fixed shootout wins counting as a loss.

  • Rink can now be freely changed.

  • Last used game rules are now saved.

Historic Teams

  • Oxford Canadians & Bohemia now have helmet-less player sprites.

Graphics

  • Fixed puck reflection

  • Fixed issue with sprite font text rendering improperly on some graphics cards.

  • Fixed Z-fighting issue with the rink lights

  • Fixed gaps in rink geometry around the team bench.

  • Improvements to some pixel fonts.

  • SettingsFixed minor rendering issue with sliders.

Menus

  • Additional polish and sound FX

  • Fixed being able to back out of the pause menu in CPU vs CPU mode.

Practice Mode

  • Controls display can now be collapsed.
