Welcome to WizardWare!

We want to kick off our first-ever Steam community announcement by thanking our incredible players and supporters for making WizardWare's release a success! We're so excited to finally get the game into your hands, and we hope your apprenticeship thus far as Defender of the Digital Realm has been challenging and exciting.

We're not done with WizardWare, and we hope you aren't either—here's a look at what we're working on now.

What's Next

Patch 1.1 (out now!)

  • Our first update brings a much-needed hotfix that patches out a bug causing download fields to flag as incorrect when they shouldn't have.

  • Other changes in this patch include minor UI updates, typo corrections, and miscellaneous back-end adjustments.

Patch 1.2

  • Expanded gameplay

    • Our current mission is to bring more interesting interactions and improved replayability into the game. We're cooking up some features for future updates that will make each run unique.

  • Steam leaderboard integration

    • Did you know that you can find a global leaderboard through our Steam community page that shows top scores across all of our playerbase? No? Understandable! In our first update, we're integrating this leaderboard right into the existing in-game Scores menu.

    • Currently, this menu shows only *your* highest scores; in the coming update, it will show yours, your friends', and global top scores. Be sure to lord your accomplishments over your friends.

  • Polish and bug fixes

    • We'll also be adding a few silly little SFX, making sure Mr. Web isn't yelling in one voice line and whispering in another, silencing him appropriately when his dialogue is supposed to end, and fixing a few other minor issues to bring some polish to the game.

In Conclusion...

Thanks for playing WizardWare, and if you haven't already, consider leaving us a review to let us know if you liked the game—or if you didn't! As always, if you find any bugs or other issues in the game, be sure to fill out our bug report form.
