More characters?

Do you want to see some new characters that can be in your party?

I'm thinking about adding some new characters that can travel around with you. The problem with this is the entire game has been developed with having either one or two party members in mind. Not only that but it could make Aly a less special character, which is not what I want. I primarily have two characters I want to add: one which is a long term friend of the protagonist, and one who isn't from Thornhill and came there to hunt monsters. If this is going to occur, it could be in a few different ways. It could be that new characters would be locked to certain areas. It could be that they can go anywhere but they won't be anywhere nearly as developed as Aly terms of usefulness, lore or general interactivity. Plus, Aly is already a real yapper, so they won't be talking as much as her anyway. I'll also need to find a meaningful way to meet these characters and add them to your party.
