Wind Runners changes
Wind Runners early access releases on September 23rd and we got a new trailer for you!
We've got a lot to share, so let's get into it!
First we finally have a release date: Wind Runners launches in Early Access on September 23rd 2026! and it's actually happening.
We also have a brand new trailer dropping at the PC Gaming Show.

The Demo Is Here!
Here’s a new playable build of the game, a focused slice of the experience designed to showcase its core systems: high-precision flight controls, upgrade synergies, and fast-paced combat across multiple sectors, culminating in 3 unique boss encounters.

What's in the Demo
The demo drops you straight into the conflict against the Saints, godlike tyrants commanding colossal warships who rule the galaxy through fear and overwhelming force.
You'll play as Zenna, one of the Runners of the Zerah Igna System. Her ship is built around defense, mobility and survivability, a solid entry point for learning Wind Runners.
In the demo you will:
Choose where to strike across 3 planets, each with its own look
Navigate through a dynamic pathing system run after run
Take on 9 mission types: convoy interceptions, escort missions, fortress assaults and more
Unlock enhancements that shape your build and playstyle as you progress
Lightning-fast Dogfighting
You're piloting a physical ship with weight, inertia, boost, braking and barrel rolls. Every dodge, turn and attack depends on how well you manage speed and momentum. That feeling is central to everything. The game fully supports both controller and keyboard & mouse, though we recommend playing with a controller.

4 technology classes, each with a distinct combat identity:
Electric : auto-hits nearby enemies, great for clearing groups
Laser : piercing damage, strong against bosses
Storm : recharges weapons faster and enhances boost effects
Aura : defense and survivability
Items stack into synergies, and every run is a new opportunity to discover a combination that clicks.
Steam post image Destroy the cardinal beasts and their strongholds
Cardinal Beast encounters, and they're not just bigger enemies, each one changes the rhythm of combat entirely:
Warship : On the planet Drodara. A colossal cruiser that dominates the skies with relentless turret fire and devastating beam attacks. Its sheer size is both its strength and your opportunity.
Spider : On the planet Zenset. A giant robotic mech built to punish every mistake. Get too close and its legs will tear you apart. Pull back and it jumps at you. Phase two adds missiles.
Raven: On the planet Azala. A versatile aircraft with phase-based attacks that shift depending on your position. Just when you think you've figured it out, it retreats into the background and turns the screen into a minefield.
