Wilds of the Realmwalker Demo Patch Notes

A new demo patch is now live for Wilds of the Realmwalker. This update includes tutorial improvements, multiplayer sync fixes, UI polish, dialogue presentation upgrades, and continued work on transparency, camera behavior, and progression flow.

Highlights

  • Improved client and late-join level sync

  • Fixed issues with early-joining players not being able to collect resources

  • Added character names and portraits to dialogue

  • Updated parts of the tutorial flow

  • Locked the battle arena until the tutorial is complete

  • Moved the workstation tutorial into the Hub World

  • Continued improvements to the transparency system

  • Improved camera behavior with decoupled camera functionality

  • Better handling for raid completion and end screen flow

Tutorial / Progression

  • Added a name for McTravesh in Tutorial World

  • Added McTravesh’s image in Hub World dialogue

  • Updated tutorial dialogue

  • Removed unnecessary tutorials from Tutorial World

  • Moved workstation tutorial to Hub World

  • Locked battle arena until the demo has been beat

  • Beast tutorial now has players evolve Mamut and build a saddle

    • The saddle is not ridable in Tutorial World

  • Added starting chests

Multiplayer / Networking / Sync

  • Fixed client level sync issues

  • Fixed late-join level sync issues

  • Fixed issues with early-joining players not being able to collect resources

  • Fixed an issue where players could use local level save data instead of the Master Client’s data

    • This was causing spawn-related issues

  • Ensured all players reach the end screen when the raid is complete

UI / Presentation

  • Added character images to dialogue

  • Added character names to dialogue

  • Moved the minimap to the bottom-right corner, except when there are 4 players

  • Raised camera framing on NPCs for better presentation

Audio / Visual Polish

  • Reduced battle arena music volume by about one-third

  • Resized several items to make them bigger and easier to see

  • Removed transparency from boulders

  • Continued transparency adjustments and fixes

  • Reworked the transparency system for better efficiency

World / Gameplay / Misc

  • Boss arena work

  • Changes to the blacksmithing hut

  • Fixed issues with tent placement and bounds in the Hub World

  • Fixed Wind Block spell issues

  • Removed debug logs
