Howdy Partners! Grab your hat and your hammer. America's two coasts have never shaken hands... until now. Our fourth event, Iron Horse Stampede, hands you the biggest construction job the ol' West has ever seen: the transcontinental railroad, the beast they called the"Iron Horse".

🚂 THE JOB

Two railroads. One crawling east from the Pacific, one crawling west from the plains. 19 stations to unlock across the country. You'll run both crews — driving spikes, milling sleepers, smelting rails, digging and hauling coal, feeding hungry workers and rolling fresh engines out of the yard. Build the Western Railroad. Build the Eastern Railroad. Link them in the middle at Promontory Summit, nail the Golden Spike, and finally unite East and West. Special trophies for the Pioneers who see it through. Bragging rights forever. Every station, every crew and that Golden Spike come straight out of the history books — this really happened, Partner. You just get to do it faster.

🔨 TIPS FROM THE FOREMAN

[] When should you reset? When the investors you'll earn from resetting are much more than the investors you've already spent on investor upgrades at that station. [] Mind the investor upgrades. The moment you see "Are you sure you want to spend xxx investors?" — stop and think. Choose well. [] Cash upgrades first. They often give you a bigger boost than business level upgrades. [] Overshoot the goal. The further past a station target you push, the smoother the next stretch of track goes down.

🚧 NOT EVERY UPGRADE PULLS IN THE SAME DIRECTION

Here's the thing about railroading, Partner: more is not always better. Up till now, levelling every business to the same tier earned you a tidy extra multiplier. On this line, that's no longer a promise. Some milestones will haul you forward. Some will drag their heels. And a milestone that works against you at one level can start paying off at a higher one. Same goes for the Upgrades section — a few of those hand extra levels to all your businesses at once, which can trip a milestone you weren't ready for yet. This is not a bug. This is the event. Read the board, pick your battles, and decide which businesses to hold back — and how far back. Every run you'll learn a little more about where this track wants to go. That's the whole game. Yes, that means some multipliers in this event can go against you. No, we ain't telling you which ones. Work it out, Partner — then work out what happens if you push that same milestone further.
