removedAfter some feedback and internal review the bounce factor has been removed completely from the players fall mechanic.
removedWhen the character pawn is falling and hits a flat surface it will no longer bounce off at high velocity. Instead, the pawn will have a significant reduction in ricochet value upon landing (0.44 to 0). The landing will also have a 3% friction increase to slow down any slide that may occur.

What does this mean?

When the character pawn is falling and hits a flat surface it will no longer bounce off at high velocity. Instead, the pawn will have a significant reduction in ricochet value upon landing (0.44 to 0). The landing will also have a 3% friction increase to slow down any slide that may occur.

It is important to note that the pawn can still bounce off the side of chess board pieces and walls! Also, depending on the speed and angle that the pawn is falling at upon impact with the flat surface the pawn will still continue to fall downward but to a lesser extent than before.
