addedWhen we first added the card mechanic we faced a tricky problem. Players had to move around the map while also playing cards at the right moments. The pace had to feel just right because you should be able to explore the world and still have time to cast your cards.
changedTo balance this we created our first crafting system . Crafting not only encourages exploration by sending you around the map to collect items, it also helps keep the number of cards in your hand under control.
addedInstead of putting a simple cooldown on card usage we introduced a mana system . This makes the game feel more immersive since every spell you cast consumes a resource, while also preventing players from spamming powerful cards one after another.
changedAll of this has been carefully designed and adjusted during development, but the real feedback will come very soon when you get to try it for yourselves in the demo!
