The game has now been out for almost two years, and it has been amazing to see people still discovering this strange little project: a full-scale JRPG presented entirely with text-mode graphics and coded in QBASIC.

Recently I wrote a small retrospective about the development and release of the game, including some sales numbers and lessons learned after spending more than a decade working on it.

A short excerpt:

"So I decided to just let go and accept the fact that a run through the game would be like a run through my life from 25 to almost 40, digging through different layers of me, like an onion."

Watching people experience the world of the game for the first time has been one of the most rewarding parts of releasing it.

I also recently uploaded the full original soundtrack (55 tracks, 1h 26min) to YouTube:

Thank you to everyone who has played the game, streamed it, or simply supported the project.
