Meet the Unassigned Workers

Not all survivors have found their purpose — yet. Unassigned workers are versatile survivors who haven’t been assigned to a specific profession but still possess valuable general (and sometimes rare) skills.

You can directly control these characters to open blocked paths, repair damaged structures, or take on special tasks that others can’t. They’re essential to keep around your base — flexible, resourceful, and always ready to adapt.

During the day, they await your command. You can assign them to gather wood, repair a wall, or even craft weapons to arm your workforce. But when night falls, their true resilience shines: unassigned workers grab stones or firearms (if upgraded) to defend the base and repair walls between enemy waves.

Keep a few unassigned workers close — they’re the backbone of survival, ready for anything the darkness brings.
