The time has come for our first Feature Update! Here’s what’s new:
Difficulty Customization
You asked for it, and it’s finally here: beyond the standard difficulty presets, you can now adjust a set of key settings to shape your own experience.
What can you adjust?
Death Consequence Defines the penalties applied when you die (yes, it happens even to the best of us). Several options are available, ranging from no penalty at all to permanent death.
Combat Difficulty Adjusts the damage dealt and received by both the player and enemies. Also affects the frequency and duration of stun effects, which can leave you vulnerable in combat.
Stats Decay Rate Controls how fast survival stats decrease over time (hunger, rest, stamina, temperature).
Hostile Creatures Adjusts the spawn frequency of hostile creatures.
World Fauna Adjusts how often wildlife appears in the world.
Food Preservation Controls how long food stays fresh before spoiling.
Day Length Allows you to extend the duration of in-game days.
Weather Event Frequency Decreases or increases the likelihood of dangerous storms and weather events occurring.
Changing Difficulty During the Game
You know what? You can change the difficulty at any time. If you do, your world will be marked as Modified Difficulty. Steam achievements tied to specific difficulty presets remain exclusive to worlds that have preserved their original path.
Little Mist
A new NPC has appeared in the Jukaï. Will you find him?
Resonance
Regional Resonance has been updated:
50% is based on your interactions with the spirit world.
50% is based on your progress with Chained Soulstones.
Network Layer Improvements
Major improvements have been made to the network layer, resulting in better stability, improved reliability, and smoother multiplayer performance.

Ability to extinguish standing torches
Weather forecast now shows the time period for each icon
- Torch and Standing Torchupdated names, descriptions, and icons
Iron Knife can now be crafted at the Blacksmith
Press F3 to hide the UI
Uncapped collect time bonus
Hardcore mode now auto-saves upon death
Goats rebalanced to drop more bones
Fully mined ore deposit locations will no longer be proposed by maps
Fixed goats occasionally walking in circles
Fixed an issue where clients had to re-equip items on each connection
Fixed a slight time drift during extended pauses
Fixed an issue where axes dealt less damage to trees when a Sharp Shard was attached
Fixed an issue where attaching a Shard to an equipped weapon did not update its stats
Fixed an issue preventing switching between two identical weapons
Various translation fixes
Added an “Add Suggestion” button that links directly to the feature-upvote tool
Improved tooltip readability
