May Update - An Entire Generation of Games

We’re back with a brand new update for May!

We had a wonderful time at Generation Games in Sydney where, for the first time, players went hands-on with our brand new mini-game Nebula Nab.

We’ve also dabbled in making some physical merchandise, like fun shiny stickers and adorable crocheted characters.

Nabbing the Nebulas at Generation Games

We teased it in the April Steam update, but last month at Generation Games, we let players go hands-on with Nebula Nab, our brand new mini game, for the very first time.

And it was a hit!

And so was our little panel talk we did 🙂

In Nebula Nab, each player must jump around and collect little grey sprites called Pips; doing so will turn them into little pip versions of your chosen Celestial. Once collected, it is up to that player to bring them back to the base in the middle to collect points.

However, watch out for your opponents, as if they run into your pips before you can get them back to the middle, they’ll become grey again.

The mini game was praised for its sense of risk and reward. Collecting more pips in a single go can collect you more points, but it also leaves you more vulnerable to opponents.

Crochet Creativity

We’ve been wanting to get creative with our characters for a long time, and while we’ve experimented with a few bips and bobs here and there, we ended up getting the crochet hook out.

We took these little crocheted pips with us to Generation Games and they were absolutely adored by players and attendees.

The pips themselves even had a go of the game over on our TikTok when they got the chance.
