Hey everyone!
What changed
- Gameplay
WheelMates team here! We’re kicking off a series of regular dev updates, and this is the very first one.
After the last playtest, we got a lot of useful feedback, we’ve been hard at work on improvements, and here’s what we’ve changed.
Camera
Before, the camera needed extra input from you, either right stick on the gamepad or mouse control, which could distract from driving. We’ve changed that: now the camera automatically follows your car and adjusts to its movement, making the whole experience much smoother.
Drifting
Yep, drifting is now in the game!
This opens up more possibilities for cornering. We’re still fine-tuning it to make it feel intuitive and fun for both newcomers and more experienced players.
Car Physics
We’ve reworked the physics: сars now feel lighter and more responsive. They’re easier to control but also more fun to drive.
Air Stunts
We’ve added mid-air spins! When your car launches off a ramp or catches air, it now performs stylish rotations and lands with a flourish on all four…wheels 😄 It adds a little extra fun to every race.
