Weed County changes
Below is a more detailed explanation of what this update brings, but first here's the TL;DR changelog:
Revamped look of main menu
Revamped look of options menu
Added map tab
Added Inventory tab
Added Respect tab
Added Quests tab
Added memories tab
Added hide gui toggle 'F5' hotkey
Revamped GUI
Disabled furniture resetting while sleeping
THE MAP TAB
Among the new menus added is the map menu. Press "M" to go straight to the map for fast access. Currently the map menu is blank and will include the map in a future update when the world is more built up. Until then, this menu is not much use but shows what content is coming soon to Weed County.
THE INVENTORY TAB
Originally, there were only a few inventory items and all of them were displayed on the main gui. Since Weed County will be getting more ingredients, products, and ways to refine these products in the future, I needed to create an inventory menu where the player can view everything they are holding. The inventory comes already organized and will display all the items available in the game so the player will know what to work towards.
THE RESPECT TAB
This menu existed before, but now has been completely redone. View your current respect level and whats been unlocked. You can also view what features get unlocked at higher levels, so you know what to work on next.
THE QUEST TAB
This is another tab that is currently empty, but will provide information about quest progress. Instead of chatting with Nancy to see if her quest has reset, simply check the quest tab to see if her quest is available. As more quests are added, they will be shown here too.
THE MEMORIES TAB
This tab is currently empty, but will have unlockable cutscenes that will tell the story of what happened before the main character lost his memory in the car accident.
NEW GUI
You'll probably notice the GUI has been polished and improved upon. The time of day has been moved center for easy viewing, the inventory has been moved to its own menu, and a gear icon button has been added for quick access to the options menu (pressing "ESC" will also take you there).
