fixedAs the release date for Early Access approaches I thought it’d be a good time to talk about what’s coming in the first few updates. These posts will be regular and will keep you updated on the progress of upcoming changes to the game. I won’t address every hotfix update that may arise, as these post will be for larger updates.
addedFirstly, on April 20th there will be a small update for the celebration of 4/20. The small update may include initial bug fixes, but more importantly, it’ll add something to celebrate that momentous occasion. I’ll talk more about it when the time comes.
addedSecondly, the first large content update will come after 4/20. I don’t have a specific date for it yet, but as it nears completion I’ll be able to talk about specifics more. The meat of this update will include locations. More areas to explore, more people to meet, and more things to do will all be apart of this update. It will also become the foundation for future updates as more purchasable properties, more quests, and more jobs will be added to these locations in the future.
addedAnother part of the update will include two new needs. Fun and Comfort. You’ll be able to buy furniture that will satisfy both those needs. Sitting on the couch will make your comfort rise, while sleeping on that terrible mattress will make your comfort lower. Tending to your “plants” will also lower your comfort. Watching TV will be a good way to raise your fun as well as doing other fun activities. It’s all pretty self explanatory, but the addition of these two needs will open up the incentive to upgrade your furniture to nicer things so needs will rise faster. It will also give more furniture purpose in your home. I plan to eventually give every piece of furniture in your home a purpose, whether it’s a potted plant or a couch.
addedRemember, like every early access game, save data may not be compatible between updates. It depends on the kinds of things changed or added to the game. So, it’s always recommend to start a new game every now and then after a new update comes out so you can see the new content properly.

Those are the big parts of the first content update. There will also be bug fixes and things like that. When we get closer to getting this update out the door, I’ll post a full list of all the changes and additions included with the update.
