addedSo if you read our last update's announcement or else if you've ever visited one of our weekly developer streams , you may recall that we announced we were working on releasing a new DLC submarine.
addedWhile that is still in progress, we have recently had to switch gears to focusing on implementing a new set of connection tools since, long story short, the ones we're using now (which we only had to switch to since Unity abandoned theirs) have proven themselves to not be quite up to the task at getting players connected reliably across different operating systems and network types.
addedWhile our network engineer Jordan dives back into the trenches to sort out the new system (thanks Unity), the rest of us will be focusing on a small free content update for We Need To Go Deeper to help tide folks over while the new submarine is in stasis. It will be focused largely on adding new run-based items that further mix up your future expeditions, including upgrades that should add some interesting new wrinkles to combat!

We appreciate all the reports and logs folks have been sending to help us nail down the specifics of these issues. We deeply apologize to anyone who has been having difficulties getting connected with this most recent system, but we're doing everything we can to ensure the smoothest experience for everyone! Which is why we're pivoting to make this a priority! We're an incredibly small team so these things take more time than we'd like sometimes. Feel free to reach out to our team members directly if you ever want more hands-on assistance or have any pressing questions.
