We also finalised the “Fans” feature as an additional screen of the club profile. Midway through the first week, there was a major scene update.

In the second week, the new playing time screen was implemented. This now allows you to see at a glance how satisfied players are with it. This makes it easier to plan playing time to keep as many players as possible happy. There is also a table showing which players currently have ‘regular’ status.

In the new negotiations, players’ deadline day is now taken into account.

Work then continued on implementing the second Steady goal. An additional statistics package in the stats section and at the end of the season now shows:

  • The current World XI - The best players in each position - The best players currently available on a free transfer - The top U20 talents by position - The best players currently possessing a specific ++ skill

A series of additional player icons has been completed for a potential future feature, e.g. for “Journeymen” or “‘mentality monsters”. The sponsor pyramid has also been finalised.

Mid-month, we introduced an affordable friends’ subscription on Steady. Almost at the same time, Creative Mode V5 was launched! Step 1 involved the additional parameters. Here is the list:

  • Proportion of penalties in attacks - Proportion of free kicks in attacks - Proportion of corners in attacks - Effects of missing character type - Own fitness (-10 to 10 per season) - Opponent’s fitness (-10 to 10 per season) - Effects of team spirit - New youth players - Scouting speed - Talents from youth camps - Taxes - Effect of age on transfer fees - Performance-based attendance figures - Fan growth - Membership growth - Effect of motivational speeches

In addition, the new youth player negotiations have been implemented, which are used when they are brought into the first-team squads.

The in-game scenes are continuing to develop really well. By the middle of the month, we had reached 1,400 new scenes with over 3,000 variations; in addition, the existing scenes are currently being optimised (see feature on Steady).

On the 16th, the game design for WAF27 was finalised. Everything has been fully documented and is ready for implementation, even the ‘No Budgets’ feature – our third goal on Steady. The small features for the game and editor alone have now reached a total of 100 A4 pages…

On 17 June, programming for the real-life events began. These are additional newspaper reports linked to specific dates. Hopefully, this will be interesting and, at times, a bit of a laugh. In any case, you’ll find out, amongst other things, what astronomical highlights await you during your lifetime. The longer you play, the wilder it gets.

A list with negotiation updates has been incorporated into the weekly schedule.

Work then began on our Steady Goal 1: the assessment of the pre-season. We started by evaluating your own club’s results. We then moved on to the league overview. This assesses each club in the following categories:

· Squad · Fitness · Freshness · Form · Overall · Winner · Loser

The winner is the player with the greatest improvement in points, whilst the loser is the player currently in the worst form.

Next on the list was fixing the exploit that allowed players to drive up the transfer fee when offering players for sale.

On the graphics front, the focus was now on making our club crests in Germany’s 1st Division look better, so that we can use them in the new screenshots soon.

Finally, we’ve received an exciting application; we might soon be joining forces with someone to help with the editor programming. Keep your fingers crossed – more next month!

On the 27th, the second part (“Actions”) of Creative Mode V5 was completed. New features include:

· Set manager level · Learn a foreign language · Set points deductions for the current season · Set points deductions for next season

Now we need to add a general option so that points deductions can be set for both Realistic and Creative Mode directly within the editor (Note: This has now been implemented.).

There have also been improvements to the league calendar in the editor; when editing leagues, you can now see both international and domestic cup matches.

Work has also continued on the guide, with several new chapters added (Starting the game, Creative mode). Things are starting to get serious here, as the main focus will ultimately be on the English translation rather than the German version. As soon as we have the cover image, we’ll put an initial version online.

By the end of the month, we’ll be in the final stretch for the major topics of negotiations and Creative Mode. We’re also in the final stretch when it comes to the crests for the 1st Division in Germany. We hope you enjoy them; we’ve certainly put a lot of thought into them. There’ll also be a poster featuring them shortly.

Finally, there’s some good news regarding the French version. We’re on track!
