It'd be crazy to announce a "podcast" series of developer on developer conversations a week before your game launched.
...
Good news! Myself (Murray) & Rothio are pleased to announce "Talking Heads: A Wax Heads Show" where one of us talks to other developers about their game and Wax Heads, getting into the nitty gritty of development, inspiration, reflection and fun anecdotes.
After doing the last one with Josef Martinovsky and talking about Keep Driving, we felt inspired to do more, so I'm very happy to announce the latest episode of Talking Heads is with Jeremy Johnston, one half of Evil Trout Inc. and designer on The Roottrees Are Dead, a fantastically knotty, twisting and turning detective game.
Tons of fun anecdotes came out of the conversation, talking about puzzle design, writing, happy accidents and why it's worth following the contemporary music of popular 80s bands.
Please check it out below:
You can of course buy The Roottrees Are Dead right now:
The Roottrees are Dead And wishlist their newest game: The Incident at Galley House BUT!!! I should also announce that we WILL be doing a bundle with The Roottrees Are Dead, so if you don't own a copy, want to AND want to get a copy of Wax Heads, then I suggest waiting until May 5th where you can get both for a decent price :) We have more fun conversations coming, Rothio recently spoke to Bad Viking Games who made Strange Horticulture and Strange Antiquities, which we hope to share next week! (And we've got more on the way too. ) Hope you enjoy and hope you're as excited as we are, the WAX HEADS release date is getting super close... Ahhhh! Have a great weekend, take care and keep on spinning. Murray
