addedWhat a Next Fest! Thank you all so much for all the kind words on Discord and in the Steam reviews. We’ve been developing Wax Heads for over two years now, so it has honestly been overwhelming to see you all enjoy the new demo and vibing with the world and characters we’ve created. The demo is now sat at a whopping 98% positive. Crazy!
changedForbes“No offense to the other ten titles on this list, but Wax Heads is the coolest game of all the ones listed here and, potentially, the last five years... Good god, though, the music is seriously good, the dialogue is fantastic, and it feels like a living, breathing shop that you’d never want to leave.”
changedPolygon“Wax Heads is a vibey record shop sim that simply oozes aura... It culminates in this lovely, endearing virtual environment, where even the rude or abrasive customers are still a joy to interact with. Losing yourself in the various rooms and aisles of Repeater Records is delightful, and I can't wait to clock back in for my next shift when Wax Heads is released on Tuesday, May 5.”
changedTheGamer“This cozy indie sim nails the culture and community of record stores... Every time I walk into a record shop, I’m chasing a moment of alignment when an album feels like it understands me better than I understand myself. Wax Heads recreates that sensation with so much affection. It knows a record store is more than a shop, it’s a place where identity is negotiated in four-minute increments.”
addedPocket Tactics“Wax Heads is a heartfelt treat for the eyes, ears, and soul, so don't miss it... I've had Wax Heads on my radar since it first appeared in 2024's Wholesome Direct, and now that I've played its new demo, I'm certain that you need to check it out. Part point-and-click puzzler, part narrative adventure where your choices matter, I can already tell that Patattie Games' debut release is going to be a hit.”
changedGamespew“This record shop simulator is out in May, and after spending a bit of time with its demo, I absolutely can’t wait to get my hands on the full release.”

We’re going to leave the demo up longer because so many people have loved it and we honestly just want as many people to experience it as possible until we officially launch the game on May 5th.

DIGGY DOGGO COMPETITION
Thanks to everyone who entered the Diggy Doggo competition over Next Fest, but there can only be one winner. A big congratulations to Discord user “yomissmar” who managed to escape in 2 hours and 53 minutes. WILD!
Again, thank you all so much for your support! Murray & Rothio.
